I believe in that right so much that six years ago I signed up for the NRA's training program that included the "Basic Pistol, Personal Protection, and Personal Protection in the home". I am now qualified to teach in Missouri and Kansas. I am a certified range officer and am able to teach parents and children about gun safety, proper handling/care and storage of firearms. More Information on the Conceal & Carry Classes
Hours: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
One hour of range practice and qualifying at the range
Six hours of classroom training in the care and use of a handgun and the
requirements for shooting the firearm
Two
hours of instruction in the laws and regulations concerning conceal &
carry.
All certificates are handed out at the end of the class. |
Qualifying at the Range:
You will need to fire a pistol (semi-auto) and a revolver, 25 shots at a
target placed 7 yards (21 feet) Kansas residents fire at 5 yards, 7
yards and 10 yards, and hit the target at least 25 times somewhere in
the center area of the target with each pistol. After you show
proficiency with both firearms you will fire 20 rounds (Kansas residents
fire 25) at a target and you must hit 15 of 20 shots. Kansas residents
need 18 out of 25 in the kill zone of the target.

We also teach Basic Pistol classes for those of you who need to
learn to shoot a pistol. $100.00 for the class and it
takes about 6 hours. If you take the Basis Pistol class
and then take the CCW class, there will be a $15.00 discount for
the CCW class if taken within 60 days.

ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO PRE-REGISTER AND PRE-PAY AS
CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WORK ON THE
WEEKENDS WE OFFER A SPECIAL CLASS ON FRIDAYS, ALL PERSONS
NEEDING THE CLASS ON FRIDAY NEED TO SET UP THE CLASS AT LEAST
TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE. (I NEED TO MAKE SURE I DO NOT HAVE
TO WORK OVERTIME)
